LAST RITES SEPT. 1 FOR MRS. PEARL CLARK
Mrs. Pearl Ashley Clark was born at Keytesville, Missouri, on Apr. 27, 1897 to Miles and Hattie Munden, and passed away Aug. 29, 1960 at her home at 11811 Missouri Ave., Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 2 days.
On June 27, 1917 she was united in marriage to Charley Hill Ashley, who preceded her in death in 1934. To this union eight children were born, Noble Lee Ashley and Karl Kenneth Ashley, who preceded her in death, Ralph Ashley and Jesse Ashlby, both of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Kenneth Perkins of Keytesville, Mrs. Robert Gunn of Brunswick, Charles Ashley of Plymouth, Nebraska, and Mrs. Elwood Cooper of Auxvasse, Missouri; and 18 grandchildren survive.
On Nov. 15, 1953 she was united in marriage to Cleadus W. Clark of Keytesville. After living in Keytesville a short while, they moved to Kansas City where they resided until her death. She is also survived by her husband and the following step-children, Mrs. Charlene Link of California, Jack Clark, Ronnie Clark and Donnie Clark, all of Iowa.
She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Hattie Munden of Keytesville; three brothers, Owen Munden of Kansas City, Emmett Munden of Dalton, and Sam Munden of Caldwell, Idaho; five sisters, Mrs. Earl Brooks and Mrs. Ogle Hershey of Keytesville, Mrs. Arthur T. Epperly of Lexington, Mrs. Ethel Burns of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Bill Van deMoer of Parma, Idaho; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Sept. 1, at the Baptist church in Keytesville. Interment was in Powell Cemetery at Indian Grove.
