William C. Norman, of Granbury, a decorated Marine, son, brother, dad, paw and friend, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Granbury. Graveside service: 9:15 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at Wiley Funeral Home. William was born in the Philippines on Feb. 12, 1961 to Adoracion Guiao Catemprate. On Feb. 5, 1968 he was adopted by his mother’s husband and brought to the United States. William grew up in Burkburnett and at age 17 enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps where he spent the next six years and nine monthes of his life as a sniper. The only thing that made him more proud than being a Marine was being a Dad and Paw. He settled in Granbury in 2005 to be close to children. He will be truly missed by many and live forever in our hearts. As he always said Oorah! Survivors: Sister, Mary Jane and wife Tayna; brothers, Wayne and wife, and Bartley; daughters, Cassie “CJ”, Shyann “Nikki” and husband Al; son, Randy and wife Molly; best friend, Tammie; grandchildren, Makaylynn, Landon, Denverstone, Gracie, Derris, Lola; and many nieces and nephews.
