DAVID JAMES ABBEY PASSES HERE AT 76
David James Abbey died in McMinnville Wednesday at the age of 76 years. His home was in Lafayette.
He was born December 23, 1862, in Wisconsin. He made his home in Newberg and Forest Grove for 15 years before living in Lafayette, where he has been for the past three years. He was a member of the Nazarene church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Abbey, Lafayette; four step-sons; C.A. Brewer, Lafayette; W.R. New, Salem; Jeff New, Lafayette; and Homer New, Portland; and three step-daughters, Mrs. W.R. Eassler, Portland; Mrs. Myrtle Flemmings and Mrs. Bertha Kellow, Tillamook.
Funeral services were held Friday morning from the Macy chapel, McMinnville, the Rev. D.B. Weintz officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial cemetery.
