A veteran, Don served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War from 1954 to 1957. During his years of service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and was commended by his commanding officer for his excellent "traits of leadership." Don's career with the Madera County Probation Department spanned thirty years serving as Assistant Chief when he retired.
