Art was born in Gloucester City and grew up in Westville along with two sisters and six brothers. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Claxton, and received the American Area, European-African-Middle Eastern Area, and Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Metals, and the WWII Victory Metal. He retired from the Philadelphia Navy Yard as an electrician and enjoyed traveling the country with his late wife Beatrice in their motor home to visit their two sons.
Survived by his 2 sons Art {Dale} of Hamilton, MT and Tom {Margaret} of Silverdale WA; and 3 grandchildren Chris, Sarah and Brittany.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday 10:30 am at the ELLIS-STIEFEL FUNERAL HOME 301 Highland Ave., Westville, NJ where friends may call after 9:30 am. Interment Manahath Cemetery Glassboro, NJ.
