Memorial Service for Joanna "Jody" Allen, longtime resident of Conroe, Texas will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ray Hyden officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born on June 4, 1926 in Conroe, Texas to Luther William Allen, Sr. and Anna Ethel (Blair) Allen. She passed away peacefully on February 15, 2015 surrounded by loved ones at her residence in Conroe. Jody was 88 years old.

Jody was the youngest of 10 siblings and was the last surviving child of their family. Over the years, Jody was a wonderful caretaker to her family and friends.

She was a longtime member of Unity Church and enjoyed her pleasant visits with her Breakfast Club ladies. Jody also loved to garden and was an excellent gourmet cook.

Jody is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, as well as, their family members. Jody also leaves behind a legacy of friendship that spans generations. Our beautiful aunt, our "Refined Texas Lady" and our smart business woman was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
