James Edward Lawrence, 41, Miami, Fla., formerly of Phenix City, died in Jackson Hospital in Miami at
11:15 p.m. Sunday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident about 7 a.m. Sunday.
Mr. Lawrence had lived in Miami about seven months, moving there from Phenix City. He was born in
Phenix City April 3, 1913, son of Luther Lawrence and the late Mrs. Luther Lawrence.
In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nela Byers Lawrence, Miami; three sons,
Edward Lee Lawrence, U.S. Air Force in Texas, and Larry and Ricky Lawrence, both of Miami;
two daughters; Miss Nela Lawrence and Miss Patricia Lawrence, both of Miami, two brothers,
Prather Lawrence, Mobile, Ala., and Dewey Lawrence, Gramerco, N. Mex.; three sisters, Mrs. Katie
Lou Evans, Phenix City, Mrs. Joyce Crawford, Opelika, Ala., and Mrs. Peggy Fitzpatric, Miami; several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral for James Edward Lawrence, 41, Miami, Fla., formerly of Phenix City, who died in Jackson Hospital

at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Epworth Methodist Church in Phenix City.
The Rev. George Gilbert will conduct the service. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ervin Harris, Johnny Harris, Thurman Moore, Buddie Edwards, H. C. Edwards and John
Bussey. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Davenport, T. E. Futch, Raymond Lawrence, Charles Adcock,
