Visitation will be held today, February 20, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 21st at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist in Lubbock. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
He was a native Texan, born in San Antonio October 6 to the late Steve and Alvis (Adams) Steffen. Ron attended Texas Tech University and studied Mechanical Engineering. He married Pamela Jean Faver in Lubbock, TX. where they raised their family. Ron pursued many passions; owning his construction company, Technical Services, while serving as, Board Member to Texas Baptist Men and Director of Royal Ambassadors for boys, through the Lubbock Baptist Association since 1971; where he helped men in churches build R.A. chapters for their boys. He mentored countless men and boys while organizing annual events (camping, track & field meets and pinewood derby races) increasing the awareness of the opportunity to receive salvation through Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; brother, David and his wife Tammy Steffen; daughter, Missy Crawford and husband Scott; two sons, Micah Steffen and wife Tami and Mitch Marcum and his wife Karen; 9 grandchildren, Gunnar, Alyssa, Sarah, Bennett, Tiffani, Joy, Lily, Dylan, Hanna and Landon; 3 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Axl and Zechariah; aunts, Alta Belle and Elna; 6 nieces and nephews; cousins and many close friends he considered family.
