I am not sure why he chose to go to Texas to be treated for cancer, but he did. He shows up in the Texas Death Index. He was in the business of Transportation Service as a clerk so he might have been asked to deliver something to Houston at that time, he could have gotten ill while doing this and went to the Hermann Hospital there in Houston, TX. He was only 65 when he passed on. His parents are on his DC and so is his wife Vara Beatrice Miles-Mannies. His DC states that he is buried at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA.
Julious is the son of Benjamin Daniel Mannies and his wife Myrtis Fountain, along with his siblings of 5 others lived in Mansfield, De Soto Parish, LA where he and his family farmed. He had a brother that served in WWII who died in France, his name was Drayton P. Mannies, Wallace R. Mannies also served but lived and came home.
