Frederick David Abbott, 80, of 1318 8th Ave. N.W., died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Born in Waterloo, Ont., he came to Calgary in 1919 and worked as a bookkeeper for the Alberta Pacific Grain Company Ltd., until his retirement six years ago.
He is survived by his brother, Walter of Newport, Vermont, and a sister, Agnes Abbott, of Montreal.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Gooder Brothers funeral home with Rev. I. E. McFarlane officiating. Burial will be in Queen’s Park Cemetery.
