Clarence Arthur DeBerry, 84, of Kingwood died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Heartland of Preston County.

He was born February 16, 1927, in Morgantown, a son of the late Orville Ray and Dessie Adelia Harden DeBerry.

He had worked as a coal miner and had 34 years of service with Sterling Faucet Company, in Morgantown.

He is survived by six sons, Arthur DeBerry, Lester DeBerry, Rick DeBerry and Phillip De-Berry, all of Kingwood, Gary DeBerry, of Indiana, PA and Larry DeBerry, of Crawfords-ville, IN; two daughters, Phyllis Gabbert, of Jane Lew and Shirley Wilson, of Crawfordsville, IN; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy McCrobie De-Berry; a son, Clarence McKee; six brothers, Lawerence Edgar, James W. Sr., Chancey l, Elwood Orville, San-ford and Everett Carl De Berry and a grandson, Mike DeBerry.

Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, where funeral services were held Monday, December 5, with Pastor Matt Lewellyn officiated.

Military graveside rites were conducted by the Preston County VFW Posts, Preston County Chapter 977, Vietnam Veterans of America and the WVANG from Camp Dawson.
