Mr. Hofferth, formerly of Crown Point and Hammond, Ind., died Saturday, August 19, 2000, at his home in Chapin.
Born in Kouts, Ind., he was a son of the late Robert T. and Barbara J. (nee Spencer) Hofferth.
Mr. Hofferth was a graduate of the University of South Carolina after serving two years in the U.S. military, he was a ten year employee of IBM Corp., and was former Business Manager for Superior Engineering Corp. in Hammond, Ind. After serving as Director of the Hammond Clinic in Munster, Ind., he retired to South Carolina in 1992. He was a life member of the USC Alumni Association and a past Board Member of the University's Lettermen's Association.
