Hello to all my lil’ darlins!

I am sending my love to all of you today and always. Each of you will always be like twinkling bright stars in the sky of my life. All of you are so uniquely bright and shining and each a beauty and joy to behold. Facebook has let us connect no matter where we live and I am grateful that I was able to share your lives with your laughter and tears. Thanks to Betsy and T-Pooh.

My advice to you today is to hug your loved ones and tell them you love them. In my 95 years I have only a single regret I did not read my Bible enough. You are never too old or too young to start. As a family we played Bible trivia and T-Pooh would skunk us every time.

My years teaching in Tahlequah were wonderful and sometimes trying. How many of my former students still end a sentence with the word at or say ain’t? You win some and you lose some. What is an English teacher to do? To all of you who chose to teach God bless you. Go Tigers!

My years back at the Chi Omega house in Fayetteville brought back so many joyful times in my college days and made so many new ones with you girls. It made me feel like I was young again and just one of the girls. I will always remember watching TV in my room, the meals and boys in the house. There was never a dull moment. XO and Whoo Pig Sowie!

My years in Lawrence with the Delta Gammas and Alpha Omicron Pis were happy and filled with lots of fun. Except the bugs on the screens those were annoying. The basketball games were a lot of fun to go to and I would still find out the scores even after I left. All of you girls were so good to me. It was a joy to be with you all. Rock Chalk Jayhawks!

This will be my last update on Facebook. T-Pooh is ever vigilant as my scribe will post this so that everyone will find out at once of my passing.

As per my request I will not have a funeral or graveside service. I never liked funerals they always bothered me. Life is for the living not for the dead. Always look to the future not the past. Instead of flowers it is requested that the money goes toward the American Heart Association or Tahlequah High School.

My love to you all,
Bonner Jane (Lindsey) Allred

My heart and my soul grieves, I will miss you Gammie. You were my friend, my joy and my only grandparent. I love you. – T-Pooh
