Died on Saturday, October 19, 2002 in Arlington, VA of natural causes. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1976.
She will be remembered by her family for her loving, caring and generous nature. Devoted mother of Richard, Anna Marie, Robert, Mary Elizabeth, John, Jeannie and Edward. Also surviving her, are her 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many life-long friends.
A native of Youngstown, OH and graduate of Youngstown State University School of Music. She will be remembered for her many years of dedicated religious instruction and compassionate charitable works. An accomplished musician, organist and member of St. Ann's Catholic Church Choir in Arlington; also a member of the Legion of Mary and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was widely recognized as a Biblical scholar in matters of church theology, dogma and history
The family will receive friends at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME OF ARLINGTON, 4510 Wilson Blvd., on Tuesday, October 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where prayers will be recited at 7 p.m. followed by the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 5300 N. 10th St., Arlington on Wednesday, October 23, 11 a.m. Internment Fairfax Memorial Park
