Lorna Arlene Abbey, a daughter of Earl and Jane (Roussin) Brew, was born at Drayton, ND on June 27, 1938. She was reared in Drayton and at a young age she moved to Dunseith where she was educated. On July 25, 1956 she was married to Darrell Abbey at Rolla. After their marriage they moved to Grand Forks. they then moved to many city's in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. In 1975 they returned to Dunseith. Lorna was a foster parent and took care of disabled children and young troubled girls for over 33 years. She wanted to help those in need. Lorna never turned away anyone who came into her life and always had a warm meal for anyone who happen to stop by.
She was very involved in her husband's church, teaching Sunday School, working within the church and attending Bible Camps. Lorna loved to read, take care of her flowers and spend time with her children.
Lorna passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in her home
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, one son; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorna is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susan Roussin.
