The following obituary was found in the Granville, North Dakota, "Herald" dated February 20, 1914:

Death of Mrs. Mary Hills. Mary Ann Keneson* was born in Ontario, Canada Decemb er 13, 1835, and died February 13, 1914, at the age of 78 years and 2 months. From Canada she moved to Freeport, Illinois, with her parents when she was 10 years old. At the age of 16 she was married to George Hillos. To this union were born 7 children, 5 of whom are living: Mrs. Albert Shirk of Cle Elum, WA; Nathan Hills of Cashmere, WA; Hiram Hills of Little Falls, MN; Darius and Oliver of this place. She was buried by the side of her husband who preceded her nine years. The deceased made her home with her son Darius for several years. She joined the Advent Church 45 years ago.
