Charles S. Johnson 59, died Thursday night of last week at his home in Walton Township, of which he was a lifelong resident. He was born February 26, 1893, the son of Mark L and Mae Carter Johnson. February 25, 1913 he was married to Eula I Johnson who survives. Also surviving is a sister Mrs. Clayton Williams of BattleCreek. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Burkhead Chapel Charlotte with Rev. Horris B. Loomis pastor of the Charlotte Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in Bosworth Cemetery Olivet.
