Born to Walter Joseph Sr. and, Helen Margaret Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Valentine's Day, 1921.

Walter was the 4th of nine children, and the first born son. He worked for 45 years at the Link-Belt ball bearing plant on Belmont Ave., in Indianapolis, Indiana. Walter initially worked as a machinist, and then became a supervisor.

Walter also served his country bravely during WWII, in the Army. He enlisted on Aug, 5, 1944 and, served in a tank battalion, and was at the Battle of the Bulge.

Walter will surely be remembered by anyone who ever knew him, as a kind, and gentle person.

Walter married Anna B Barr on April 13, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana. They had three children, Walter Gus, "Butch", 1941, Harvey Dee, "Dink",1942 and, Sandra Sue, 1946. Walter also adopted his second wife, Elsie's children, Ova, Kathryn and Elsie Karen. Walter was left a widower when Elsie passed in 1984.

Walter was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sandra Sue.

At the time of his his death Walter was survived by 5 of his 6 children, 24, grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Walter was the best grandfather any of us could have ever asked for, he lives in our hearts always.
