Richard "Grandpa Dick" E. Abel, 80, of Bonduel, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 17, 2015 at his home.

He was born May 25, 1934, son of the late Ervin and Mary Beth (Powers) Abel. On September 26, 1959 he was united in marriage to Jackie Moesch.

Dick was an Iron Worker Local 8 and a Korean Conflict Marine Veteran. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino.

Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, bear hunting in Canada and attending his grandson's baseball games. There was nothing he couldn't fix.

Richard is survived by his wife, Jackie; children: Julie (Rick) Vomastic, Pulaski; Andrew (Roxane) Abel, Pulaski; Traci (Tom) Abel, Shawano: grandchildren: Sara (Steven) Schneider, Wesley, Christopher, Alexander (Dustin), Jacob, William and Douglas; brother, Jerome (Ann) Abel, Bonduel; sister-in-law, Joan Abel, Black Creek; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenneth Moesch, Ann Hertzfeldt and Mary (Bill) Schoenicke.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, John and infant daughter, Mary; infant grandson and grandson, Derick; sister, Betty Herb; brothers: Robert and James; brothers-in-law: Dean Moesch and Jim Hertzfeldt; father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Bernice Moesch.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 3 p.m. until services at 7 p.m. with Deacon Don Coenen officiating and Military Rites to follow. Burial will take place in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
