She was born on October 16, 1934 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of J.J. and Josephine (Blake) Schemmel. On June 1, 1957 at the Pearl Harbor Naval Base Chapel in Hawaii, she married Alan A. Arms and he survives.
Mrs. Arms had worked for The Bookstore, Rochester, Indiana and as a Deputy Clerk in the Fulton County Clerk’s Office. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed bridge and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Alan A. Arms, Rochester, Indiana, children, Michele Arms and companion Jim Hirsch, Rockford, Illinois, Sara and husband Kevin Ramach, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Amy and husband Brian Johnson, Carmel, Indiana, and Anna and husband Mark Lewandowski, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, five grandchildren, William Ramach, Sam Ramach, Kate Ramach, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Elaine Johnson, Carmel, Indiana, and Isabelle Lewandowski, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul G. Arms, parents, sister and brother.
Funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.
Burial will take place at a later date at Arlington Memorial Park, Rockford, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made the American Cancer Society.
