Maurice E. Faler, 92, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 15, 2015, in St. George, UT. He was born in Ogden, Utah on November 13, 1922 to Vincent E. and Lillian Winn Faler. He was raised in Pinedale, Wyoming.

He married Helen Noyes on December 31, 1948. To this union they had one daughter, Lisa. During this time they lived in Thermopolis, Wy and Rock Springs, Wy. Helen passed away in May 1988. He married Joy Logan Mivshek, June 17, 1989.

Maurice had a long and distinguished career in real estate and insurance as the owner of the Faler Agency in Rock Springs. He was active on many boards and organizations, including the Shriners, VFW and the Elks. He became a senior member of the Society of Residential Appraisers and was honored as Rock Springs Realtor of the Year.

He served in WWII in the Army Air Corps, stationed in the China, Burma, India Theatre.
He found great pleasure in his family and friends and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.

Maurice is survived by his wife, Joy, daughter Lisa (David) Shipley of Laramie, WY, step son Jerald (Lori) Munk of St. George, UT, grandchildren Andrea Lewis, Nathan Shipley, step-grandchildren Hollie Munk and Paul Munk, and one great grandson, Benjamin Lewis.

Maurice's ashes will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Cemetery north of Rock Springs. This will be a very short service, as it will consist of the Honor Guard only 7/27/15.
