Ida P. (Haney) Olds was the thirteenth child of David Meadow Haney. She married Robert M. Olds and lived the rest of her live in this area. She was the younger sister of my grandfather, Demarcus Boyd Haney.
The only time I remember her is at a Haney Reunion that was held at her house in the summer of 1955. She was sitting in a wheel chair and I got to have a good visit with her that day. I could have asked her so many questions that I have now in 1997. I do have a movie of her that I took. She had on her sun bonnet and was smiling and greeting everyone. She had a great time that day. I remember a few of the people that were present that day, I. T. and Albert Deen, R. B. and Louise, Homer Lee, Henry and Coleman Haney. Giles and Jim and Charlie Haney. Ervin and Ruth (Haney) Leverkuhn and their son Eugene. Eunice Haney and her husband to be Doyle Sitton. Uncle John and Aunt Nora Skeeters were present.
I do not think or remember if Eliza Haney my grandmother was there. I think that Bob and Beulah Haney were there and I know that we visited them later that day at their house where I took pictures of them. Beulah was very camera shy and she hid behind a tree in her front yard when I stated taking movies. I still have those moving pictures today. I keep promising myself that I will convert them to a video tape.
She lived to be 88 years and 10 months and 28 days old.
