PIEDMONT - Mrs. Grace Truman Westbrooks, 61, of Spring Garden, died Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. in a Gadsden hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Spring Garden Methodist Church with the Rev. William Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery with Mickelsen Brown-Service Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Westbrooks is survived by her husband, W.L. Westbrooks of Spring Garden; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Vickers of Highland Park, Mich.; a son, Billy Westbrooks of Spring Garden; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Williams of Spring Garden, Mrs. Austin DeBerry of Piedmont, Miss Lois Gaines of Piedmont, and Mrs. Leonard Whatley of Opelika; and a brother, Boyd Gaines of Sanford, Fla.
She was a member of the Lebanon Campground Methodist Church and had resided in Spring Garden most of her life.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Friday and will be carried to the residence. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of services.
