George Henry Allen

George was born May 13, 1919 in Draper, Utah to Earnest and Myrtle Cambell Allen. He served 15 years in the United States Navy. While in the Navy he married his beloved wife, Margaret Jean Bell Santos on May 10, 1945.
After the service, he worked on radiators and became the best welder around. People would come to him from all over, right up until his death, to do a welding job for them. The job he disliked the most was traffic accident and control officer because of the low salary paid for such a demanding job. He also was a janitorial engineer for various schools and a bus driver for the Granite School District. He loved being around the kids.
George loved his Heavenly Father and his family. He served in many positions in the Church as well as serving many people. He served a Stake mission in the Oakland Stake, as well as the Salt Lake Cannery mission. He also served as a temple worker in the Provo Temple and two missions for the Spanish Fork/Springville Bishop's Storehouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 2 brother, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter and 2 great-grandsons. He leaves behind 3 sisters, 1 brother, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday July 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Santaquin Downtown Chapel, 90 South 200 East, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
