Freda R. Adams, 94, resident of Twilight Gardens, Norwalk, and former resident of 42 Grove Ave., Shelby died Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Norwalk.
Born January 16, 1912 in Shelby to John and Bertha (Carmean) Adams, she was an area resident the majority of her life. A member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby, she enjoyed playing bingo, collecting bells, and taking excursions with the residents of Twilight Gardens.
Survivors include four nieces; Virginia Ewell, Edna Bryant and Beth Bryant all of Norwalk, and Judy Adams of North Carolina; two nephews; Gene Laws of Shelby and Paul Dann of Tennesee; numerous great nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd ''Curly'' Adams; two sisters, Opal Roberts and Dorothy Schick, one niece, Nancy Miller, and two nephews, LeRoy and John Dann.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Reverend Steven C. Bond will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the Twilight Gardens Activity Fund, 196 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857.
