Paul E Ruller of Schenectady died unexpectedly Friday morning November 5, 2004 at Ellis Hospital.
Born in Gloversville, Paul was the son of Hope(Carr) Ruller of Gloversville and the late Jacob Ruller.
An employee of the city of Schenectady, Paul was a long time President of the civil service union. He started in 1988 as a Schenectady Police dispatcher, then in 1991 became president of the city unit of Local 847. Paul transferred to the Department of Neighborhood Revitalization in August of 1999 where he worked in property management. A Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a life long area resident.
Besides his mother Paul is survived by his wife Linda(Nedosko) Ruller whom he married June 26, 1976, two children; Abigail Ruller and Matthew Ruller both of Schenectady, three brothers; Thomas Ruller of Gloversville, Ricky Ruller of Littleton, Colorado and Jimmy Ruller of Lehi, Utah, a sister; Mary Ruller of Gloversville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning November 10,2004 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Contributions may be made in Paul's memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
