Thomas J. "Tommy" Moore, 56, of Markland died Friday, April 21, 2006, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

He was born May 2, 1949, in Mason City, W.Va., the son of Olin Kenneth and Violet Ellen Westfall Moore. He was a former machine folder for Bessie Inc. in Vevay, and had lived in Markland for the past 15 years. He was a member of Grant's Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to and participating in old car shows, and had won a number of awards with his 1963 Chevy truck.

Surviving are one daughter, Louanna Kielbasa of Aurora; two sisters, Lucille Woodruff of Florence and Mary Tice of Vevay; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Kenneth Moore and Marshall Lee Moore.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay, with burial in the Vevay Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
