Robert Henry Runge, age 85 years, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI. He was born to Arthur and Ruth Runge in Detroit, MI on July 19, 1929. Robert had lived in West Branch, MI since 1991, formerly of Taylor, MI. He was a 60 year member of I.B.E.W. Local #58 and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed building hot rods.
Robert is survived by his children: William (Teresa) Runge of Belleville, MI. and Eileen (Andrew) Fournier of West Branch, MI; grandchildren: Jamie, Joshua, Matthew, Nathan, Nichol, Noreen, Nadelle, Nevin, Natalie, and Nolan; great grandchildren: Noah, Kinsley, Zach, Cole, Nevin, Rosalie, and Rudy; and brother: John Runge of Detroit, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Ruth; wife, Barbara Runge in 2007; son, Carl Runge in 1960; brother, Arthur Runge; and sister, Elnore Boddy.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery. Dale Peters will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Literacy Club and the Food Pantry.
