George Francis Chambers, born 25 January, 1889, in Des Moines, Iowa, was the son of Frank Sterling and Clara Malone, (biological parents) and adopted by James A. Chambers & Elizabeth Borders. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1907 to 1909, having been stationed in Guantanamo Bay Naval Station. He was discharged due to medical issues, and was ill for the remainder of his life.
In 1923, George married Anna Elizabeth Baden, in Philadelphia, who was born 21 June, 1883, in Philadelphia, daughter of Albert Bader and Marie M. (Funk) Bader.
George and Anna continued to live the rest of their lives in Philadelphia, together, with no children.
George died of his illnesses and complications from pneumonia, in 1931, and in 1948, Anna also died. They were interned together in Section i, lot 65, of the Philadelphia National Cemetery.
