~ Hattie Elizabeth Satterwhite-Smith-Kaiser, 84, of Creve Coeur, Illinois, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014, at the OSF Richard F. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois. She was born in Mobley, Tennessee on July 13,1930 to Charlie and Sudie Byrd-Satterwhite. They preceded her in death as did her then husband, Charles F. Kaiser, one brother, three step-brothers and four step-sisters. Survivors include her two daughters, Janice (Charles) Thomas of Creve Coeur and Debra (Andrew) Snoke of Fruita, Colorado, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her sister, Helen (Harold) Darnell of Farmington, Kentucky. Hattie worked for Methodist Medical Center for several years before her retirement. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 5, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Christ Bible Church, 133 Elmridge in Creve Coeur. Memorials in her name, may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria Illinois. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
