Mr. Rudd was a lifelong resident of Florida and resided in Greenwood for the past 30 years. He was an electrician employed at Sunland for 30 years and at Graham Air Force Base for 12 years prior to that. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He enjoyed playing guitar, was a great story teller and enjoyed being with family.
Mr. Rudd was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Ruth A. Brazzell Rudd; his second wife, Kathyrn Clark Rudd; sons, Willie Mitchell Rudd, James Thompson Rudd; mother, Maggie Rudd, sister, Alma Sadbury and brother, Clarence.
He is survived by son, Noel W. Rudd, Jr., and wife, Stephanie of Jasper, TX; two loving daughters and caretakers, Ruth Alice Jurgonski and husband, Bob of Panama City, Patricia Ann Rudd of Greenwood; sisters, Doris Conway of Crawfordville, Mary Ann Clark of Two Egg, Betty Moats of Crawfordville; step-children, Linda Fowler of Cottondale, Cindy Auman of Lewiston, PA, John Shingler of Panama City; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with sister Marlene Owens officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
