JESSE H. STOCKTON, 80, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Monticello. He was born March 8, 1917, in Shelbyville, Ill., to the late Winburn and Lillie Mae Carr Stockton. He was a retired machinist at a ship yard and member of Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Ollie R. Lack Stockton of Monticello; one son, Michael Stockton of Marysville, Calif.; one stepson, Joel Allen of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Gladys Kimbro of Monticello; one grandson, Benjamin Stockton of Yuba City, Calif.; one great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Stockton. Funeral services wre held Tuesday, May 27 at 5 p.m. at the Monticello Church of Christ by Larry Pasley. Arrangements were made by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of the Monticello Church of Christ.
