Iva Esther Ayres Chanslor Allen was born on Sunday, March 5, 1922. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 23, 2012, at the good age of 90 years. She was the wife of the late Jake Chanslor by her first marriage and her beloved late husband David L. Allen by the second marriage. She was truly devoted to David and they were so in love. Iva resided in Marrero at the time of her death. She was formerly of Boothville, Belle Chasse & Oklahoma. She is survived by her son Jim Chanslor & (wife) La Rita Chanslor of Tyler, Tx. and her Daughter Janet Chanslor Evans of Tickfaw , La. , formerly of Boothville , La. Her grandchildren Danny Evans & (wife) Jo of Marrero , La. & James(JJ) Evans & (wife) Margaret(Maggie) Evans of Berwick , La. La Rae Michelle Chanslor of Dallas , TX . Crissy Ra Nae’ Chanslor of Tyler , Tx . Her Great Grandchildren: Jean La Barre & (wife) Katie of El Paso, TX. Mallory La Barre of Baton Rouge , La. Brittany La Barre of Hammond , LA. Derrick Evans & Rebecca Evans of Berwick , La. Mother Lula B. Crump Ayers deceased. Father James K. Ayers deceased Sisters Thelma Ayres Ramsey Hanbury and Lillian Ayres Bates both deceased Brother James Frederick Ayres deceased Survived by her loving pets, Oscar and Maddie (Tupi deceased). The family would like to thank Egan Healthcare Services and Dr. Clay Gould & his staff at West Jefferson Cyberknife Clinic for their undying concern and support to our family. Dr. Gould and mother had a special Dr. Patient relationship and she dearly loved him. She made him laugh on every visit. We will forever be grateful to you. We also want to thank Jeanne Woolledge who was her caregiver in these last few months. She was such a blessing to Jo and Danny. We will always remember your kindness. I also have to say that Jo and Maggie you are the BEST, you gave her your heart, your love, your everything. We are so blessed to have you in our family.
