Carl Malcolm Baggett went home to be with his Lord on October 15, 2008, lovingly surrounded by family and friends. Carl was born on November 12, 1932, in Clarksville, Tenn. When he retired in 1986, in Akron, Ohio, the family and many of their close friends moved to Springfield, Mo., where Carl was able to spend many years doing the things he loved, especially farming. He is survived by his wife, Victoria; son Trevor; daughter Anna; and his wife's mother, Shirley Wimer of the home; his daughter Valorie (Keith Gargano) of Duluth, Ga.; his son, Daniel of Springfield, Mo.; his extended family, Kathy and Bruce Sudduth and Wendy and Ron Sunderland; his grandchildren, Amanda and Austin Presko, Jerry and Jason Sudduth, Deanna (Jevne) Diamond and Jayne Carothers; his great-grandchildren, Montana, Devlin and Shane Sudduth; and we couldn't begin to name all the family and friends who filled his life. Carl served his country in the United States Navy. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He attended Countryside Christian Church in Nixa. A celebration of Carl's life will be held in private by friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Condolences may be mailed to P.O. Box 649, Nixa, MO 65714 or emailed to [email protected].
