FIVE PERISH AS CAR HITS TRUCK.

By United Press.

An automobile rammed into the side of a semi-trailer truck on a rain-slick highway east of Broken Arrow Saturday, crushing four teen-agers to death instantly and fatally injuring a fifth youth. The accident occurred on State Highway 51 two miles east of Broken Arrow, or about 18 miles southeast of Tulsa, at 7:45 a.m.

State Trooper Ray Harrell said the trailer on the truck, driven by Herman Cotner, 45, of Broken Arrow, jack-knifed into the path of the automobile. The car rammed under the truck and the victims could not be removed until it was lifted by a wrecker. Cotner was not hurt.

Killed instantly were:
EARL HAMSON, 19, of Bartlesville;
ROWE CLOUD CHISHOLM, 17, of Muskogee, both members of a dance band;
LOUISE MEAD, 19, of Sand Springs;
PATRICIA BAUHAUS, 19, of Tulsa, both students of a business college in Tulsa.
LONNIE MARSHALL, 20, of Muskogee, died a few hours later.
