LUCY LYNNE HIGGINS

Our precious little ray of sunshine, Lucy Lynne Higgins, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2001. Her brief seven years were filled with loving laughter and a beautiful smile. Her happiest times were with her brothers, Will and Seth, and her family. She loved animals, especially her horse, Gin. Lucy loved going to PawPaw Hig and Mimis ice cream store. Lucy loved the outdoors at home, on the ranch, or fishing with her PawPaw and Gran. She was a first-grader at Santa Rita Elementary.
The Rev. Ben Hubert and the Rev. Carl Rohlfs will officiate the celebration of Lucys life at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at First Christian Church. Pallbearers will be Joey Henderson, David Jenkins, Jon Word, Harlan Bruha, Paige Smith and Lori Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrod Williams, Colin Mortimore, Hayden Burchard, Cody Bly, Matt Dawson, and Holt Hambright. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Lucy is survived by her parents, Mike Higgins Jr. and Susan and Bob Page; her brothers, Will and Seth Higgins, all of San Angelo; two stepsisters, Suzanne Page of College Station and Courtney Hellman and her husband, Gary, of San Antonio; paternal grandparents, Mike and
Alice Higgins of Lubbock; and maternal grandparents, Bob and Jody Slaydon of Midland; aunts and uncles, Martin and Dawndi Higgins of Lubbock, Tony and Cyd Bradford of Boulder, Colo., Debby and Kerry Joy of Eldorado, Marc and Tonni Hoefs of Lubbock and Mason Jones. She also is survived by a special friend, Colleen Needham; cousins, Tristan, Madison, Henry Bradford, Blakley and Riley Higgins, David and Jake Hoefs, Joanne and Truman Rice of San Angelo, and her many other
special relatives and friends, and friends and classmates at Santa Rita Elementary School along with her Bluebonnets soccer team.

The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to Dr. Sandy Seifert, Dr. Duncan Fisher and the staff of San Angelo Community Medical Center and the staff from the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance. Donations can be sent to Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, 8122 Data Point Drive, Suite 1150, San Antonio, TX 78229 in memory of Lucy Lynne Higgins.
