Lester Errett
POINT PLEASANT — Lester Lee Errett Sr., 92, of Point Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Lee was retired from the City of Point Pleasant as the water superintendent. He was also a member of Frazier's Bottom Church of God. Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he was a P.O.W. in Sweden.
Lee was born May 3, 1922, in Buffalo, W.Va., a son to the late Samuel and Bertie (Whittington) Errett.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his wife, Addie M. (Rainey) Errett; and his granddaughter Melissa Nicole Errett.
Lee is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Bill Crawford, of Point Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law Lester and Diane Errett, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren Jody and Mark Darst, Billy Crawford III, Jennifer and Mat Brown, Christopher Errett and Joshua Errett; and great-grandchildren Ally and Bekah Darst, and Matison and MaKenzie Brown.
Lee's life will be remembered at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with military honors being rendered by the West Virginia Honor Guard and the American Legion, Mason County Post 23.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at the funeral home. Lee's care has been entrusted to the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.
