Ted L. Gettle, former owner of Ted's 99 restaurant in Bellingham, Samish Way, died Thursday in Bellingham.
Mr. Gettle, 84, of 4915 Samish Way, was born May 4, 1903, in Edgerton, Wis. He moved to Bellingham in 1948. He operated Ted's 99 from 1948 until he retired in 1976.
He was a member of Calvary Temple, Lake Padden Senior Men's Club, and Commonwealth F&AM Lodge No. 325 in Madison, Wis.
Survivors include his wife Helen of the family home; a son Richard Gettle of Lynwood; a daughter Marilyn Apeland of Bellingham; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm Monday at Greenacres Memorial Park and Funeral Home with pastors Ernest Francis and Wayne Francis of Calvary Temple officiating.
Memorials may be made to Medic One in Bellingham or Calvary Temple, Bellingham, WA. Arrangements are by Greenacres Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
