John Henry Black, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Black, died, Tuesday at 1:10 A. M., at the Clinton County Children's Home of a complication. He had been ill only five hours.

John Henry was born in Wilmington, and was survived besides his parents, by three brothers (Robert, Charles E., and Carl E.)and two sisters (Anna May, Edna Marie). He and his siblings had been living at the Children's Home for the previous two weeks.

Cemetery records indicate his cause of death as "Impaction of Bowels". He is buried in an unmarked grave in the charity section.
