Daisy Norine Hendrix, age 93, of Pangburn, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Grubbs, Arkansas, on March 17, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John Smalley and Bettie Ida (Carter) Pennington.

A resident of Pangburn for fifteen years, Mrs. Hendrix was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. Her religious belief was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Albert Hendrix, on November 16, 1985. Mrs. Hendrix was also preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Houston; two grandchildren, Tony and Terry; five sisters, Marjorie Ridley, Kate Cloud, Ruth Wilcoxen, Allie Smith and Effie Mae Pennington Ray; and two brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Mary Hendrix of Mabelvale; her son-in-law, Ardell Houston of Pangburn; three grandchildren, Arlie Houston, Michele Bourgeois, and Teresa Hendrix Palmer; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Kenzie Houston, Sydney Bourgeois, Alec Bourgeois, and Hannah Bourgeois; and three great-great-grandchildren, Kristin Johnson, Kaynon Johnson, and Kelsey Houston. Mrs. Hendrix is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
