Drury, Doris G. 71 years old of Gurnee, IL passed away Saturday May 26, 2012 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL. She was born June 20, 1940 in Fulton, MS the daughter of Clarence and Lola (Curtis) Christian, moving to Gurnee in 1963. Before her retirement in 2002, Doris had worked for many years as a Counter Service Manager for Consumer's Credit Union, Waukegan, IL. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Waukegan, and the PTO for Spaulding School, Waukegan, IL. Doris enjoyed going to Cardiac Rehab at Lake Forest Hospital, playing games of chance, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On March 28, 1959 she married Stephen Drury in Waukegan, IL. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Stephen; three children, Stephen Jr. of Beach Park, IL, Jeanine (Richie) Krotowski of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Georgine (Greg) Erickson of Wisconsin Dells, WI; three grandchildren, Kevin (Bonnie Skye) Drury, Amanda Erickson, and Brandon Erickson; twin great-grandchildren, Stephen Michael and Devlynn McKenna Drury; her mother, Lola Ahlberg of Grayslake, IL; a sister, Linda Katalinich of Antioch, IL; a brother, Jerry Christian; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence, and step-father, Ahti Ahlberg. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Wednesday May 30 2012 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002, with visitation beginning at 1PM. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated in her memory.
