PAVO — Ross Cecil Lawrence, 52, of Pavo, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Barrett officiated, assisted by the Rev. Tony Clay. Interment...followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers...David Dalton, Carl Murphy, Daniel Dalton, Marvin Mobley, Neil Roberts and John Newton.
Members of the Red Neck Fishing Club...served as honorary casketbearers.
Born June 27, 1962, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Cecil Lawrence and Dorothy Sue Williams Lawrence. He was a 1980 graduate of Colquitt County High School and was a member of the Packer football team. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his family said his pride and joy was his grandchildren. He was a chemical mixer with JM Eagle, Inc. and was also a quail guide with Morrison Pines Plantation.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Brazeau Lawrence of Pavo; one daughter, Carrie Pope and husband Tim of Moultrie; one son, Cecil Lawrence of Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Pope, Sawyer Pope and Anna Claire Lawrence; four stepgrandchildren, Holly Pope, April Belcher, Parker Pope and Ashlyn Pope; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Wayne Brazeau of Moultrie; his brother-in-law, Wayne Lee Brazeau and wife Michelle of Chicago, Ill.; three nephews, Kyle Brazeau, Devin Brazeau and Ashton Brazeau; and other family members.
Cobb Funeral Chapel...entrusted with arrangements.
