James Woody Jones, 17, of near Danville was killed in an auto accident at Vegas, Texas last Saturday. He was hitchhiking back to Danville, where he was a student at Danville High School. It was reported that another hitchhiker riding in the car with Jones was also killed in the wreck, but the drivers of both cars escaped without serious injuries.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Tessie Wilson of Danville; his father Seywood Jones of Lepanto; three brothers, David Jones, Donnie Wilson and Bobby Wilson of the home; four sisters, Peggy Wilson, Beulah Mae Wilson, Lora Wilson and Theresa Wilson, also of home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Seymore Jones of Lepanto; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Walker of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
