Steve died at his home in Brookeland on November 23, 2014.
A native of Taft, Texas and long time Jasper County resident, Steve was a graduate of Taft High School in Taft and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.
A simple man, Steve was a long time truck driver in the Oilfield Industry and frequently worked with Taylor Trucking, Dawson Trucking and was currently employed with Key Entergy at the time of his death. He formerly worked with International Paper and Darrell Flurry Logging.
Steve enjoyed CBing, four-wheeling, weed eating and sports; his favorite being football and basketball. He loved being with his family and friends. Steve was also known as "Twinkle Toes" to those who knew him best.
He is survived by his wife and companion for the past twenty-two years, Mona Abrahams of Brookeland, sons, Nathan Abrahams of Henderson, Texas and Cody Coleman and wife Laura of Jasper, Texas, daughters, Katrina Clark and husband Albert of Jasper and Renee Craft of Buna, Texas, sister Karen Turner and husband Cliff of Austin, Texas, two grandchildren, Zachary and Logan Clark. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
