Lavonne was the third child born to Otto and Dorothy (Ring) Herman in Lodi, California.
Early in her life, she shared the radio with her sister Wanda and her brother Jim. Other than to be a mischievous sister, she had little interest in the radio.
Although there were times when Lavonne’s lot in life seemed arduous, she was one of the first ones front and center with her shining sense of humor, filling the room with laughter.
With Lavonne’s ever-present sense of humor, she attended beauty school and from there, she operated her own beauty shop. Unfortunately, Lavonne had to leave the salon profession when allergies to beauty chemicals overwhelmed her health.
In Los Angeles, Lavonne met Glenn Goodell and between them, she had Ricky J Goodell, and he in-turn had grandson Logan Goodell.
Lavonne later met and married Gerald Follett, whom she had a son Jerry Follett and Lori of Reno, Nevada, and grandson Trevor.
Lavonne is preceded in death by her folks, Otto in 2001, and Dorothy in 2010.
