Oklahoma City - Former Duncan resident HAROLD L. SHARPE, 85, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy L. Scraper officiating. Interment will be in Duncan City Cemetery.
Harold was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Chase, Kan., to Roy O. and Viola Haxton Sharpe. He married Marjorie Louise Anderson and she preceded him in death. He later married Mary Joyner.
Harold was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Texaco (Getty) as an area superintendent of drilling and production. Harold was a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lyndell and Sandy Sharpe of Yukon, Gary and Susan Sharpe of Mathis, Texas, and Shelby and Mondell Sharpe of Granbury, Texas; three brothers, Steve Sharpe, Don Sharpe and Jim Sharpe; a sister, Doris Kennedy; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dean Sharpe and Bill Sharpe.
Bearers will be Kirk Sharpe, Lantz Sharpe, Bart Sharpe, Shane Sharpe, Shawn Rounsaville and Mike Sharpe.
