Mr. Abrantes had worked at Revere Copper and Brass as a machine operator for about ten years, until becoming disabled in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Abrantes is survived by a daughter, Tiffany A. Abrantes of Fairhaven; a grandson, Logan Manuel Turner; a brother, Louis Abrantes of New Bedford; a sister, Rose Santos of New Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew. Mr. Abrantes was the brother of the late Joseph Abrantes, Connie Cardona and Mary Doucette.
His funeral will be held from THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven. Interment will follow the Mass in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
