Jamelle A. “Jay” (Tanous) Abdallah, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2012 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife o f the late John “Ed” Abdallah.

Jamelle was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Najaim and Jennie (Sabra) Tanous. She was very proud of her Lebanese heritage. She cherished the time she shared with her large extended family and long time friends. Jamelle enjoyed current events and politics. The last several years she resided at Swan Brook in Swansea and most recently was a resident at Clifton Assisted Living in Somerset.
She was the mother of the late James J. Abdallah. She is survived by a sister: Mabel Kennedy of Swansea, MA; two brothers: Thomas Tanous of Dartmouth, MA; George Tanous of Swansea, MA; three nieces: Jeannine Fortin, Joy Hallal; Jamelle Lyons; five nephews: James, Michael, Najaim and William Musto and Thomas Tanous along with several grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rose Mizher, Alice Musto, and Fred Tanous.

Her Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 8:45am from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset; followed by a Mass of the Divine Liturgy at in Saint Anthony of the Desert Church 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River
