Lorraine Gillar Herbert died in her home in East Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong East Brunswick resident. Mrs. Herbert was the secretary at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick for the past 49 years. Mrs. Herbert was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Milltown as well as the New Jersey Cemetery Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett,in 1989, and two brothers; Kurt Gillar in 1989 and Raymond Gillar in 1996. Surviving are a son, Gary; a grandson, Jesse, and several nieces and nephews.
