New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at a later date for Robert Michael Allain, 68 who died Monday, November 17, 2014 in Alexandria.
A native of New Orleans, and longtime resident of Alexandria, Mike was retired from Jim Walters Homes in Alexandria. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served our country during the Vietnam War. His hobbies included riding his Harley, playing golf and visiting with family and friends. Mike was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Alice S. Allain of New Iberia; nieces and nephews, Stephen D. "Moe" Allain and wife Jeanne B. Allain of Houston, Texas, Andrew S. Allain and wife Debby R. Allain of Humble, Texas, Helen Allain Richthofen and husband David Richthofen, Jr. of New Iberia, Theresa Allain Fremin of New Iberia; great nieces and nephews, Camille and Jacques Allain of Houston, Texas, Alexis, Tatum and Raelyn Allain of Humble, Texas, Wyatt and Abigail Richthofen of New Iberia, Madison and Emma Fremin of Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Shurley Allain; his father, Daniel A. Allain, Jr.; a brother, Daniel A. Allain, III; and a nephew, Matthew O. Allain.
